Hi, We would like to know what & where we have to go to become foster grandparents of youngsters? We were foster parentw for over 13 yrs., and now that our grandchildren are getting older, we would like to give love to a child and spend time with them.(maybe around 15 hrs. a week). THANK YOU

I think this program sounds very interesting.
I never had any children of my own. My husband has a daughter who lives in Cal. with her husband and 3 yr old daughter. We don’t see them very often. I’ve always loved children, and enjoy helping others. Currently I am involved in a couple volunteer programs which don’t take up much time. Hopefully you have something in my area. Would this be with an individual child? Are the hours flexible? How do you match people with children? Where would the training be? Please advise as soon as possible. Anxious to get more information and perhaps start training.

I am very interested in more information on becoming a foster grandparent. My husband and I have two adult sons, 6 six grandchildren and another one due to arrive in approx. February. I have always loved the role of mom and than grandmother. My grandchildren live in Philadelphia and Bloomington/Normal Ill. I don’t get to spend as much time as I would like. As a nurse educator for the university of St. Francis in Joliet: I feel I have something to offer a child. Thank you.
