I just received an application for Medicare Extra Help. My question is, Do I have to discontinue my AVMED health coverage to have Medicare coverage ? The way I understand it is....by law, I'm only allowed to have ONE Health Insurance policy at any given time. I'm pretty much satisfied with my AVMED coverage, and don't want to jeopardize that in order to just find out specifics about Medicare.
