I will have an opportunity to opt out of Medicare. I'm 67(my wife too) and we've had Medicare ever since turning 65. I'm now employed at the local school district full time and will be eligible to sign up for there med ins
plan(both my wife and I) in July of this year. We don't need the Medicare coverage if I sign with their plan.
I've heard that there will be a penalty of opting back into Medicare when the time comes. Is this true and what is the penalty?

Thanks,Fred

I am a smart person but when it comes to deciding whether I need Medicare Advantage or Medicare supplement it is confusing.
I called the social security office and was told they can't recommend what is best for me!!!!!!!!!Just unbelievable.
One person came to my house and another one will be here at 11 to confuse me even more.

These plans are so complicated. Why does an elderly person have so much hassle?
If a person has worked all their lives and needs some kind of insurance there shouldn't be so many different kinds of plans. One plan should cover many needs.
No wonder there are a lot of people who prefer not to work and live off medicaid. Government makes it so hard for those who work.
