Great blog you have here but I was curious if you knew of any discussion boards that
cover the same topics discussed in this article? I'd really love to be a part of group where I can get feed-back from other experienced people that share the same interest. If you have any recommendations, please let me know. Thanks!

A friend of mine has Medicare (since he has SSDI)since his 50's, has just turned 65 (February, 2013)and is a veteran and uses the local VA hospital. He rarely uses Medicare and almost all of his medical is from the VA.
QUESTION: Will a Medigap only pick-up from Medicare or will it also pick-up from the daily VA charges. He has Piority Level 8. Thank you.

I am 68 and get Medicare Parts A&B. I also am a Vietnam veteran and am, presently, assigned a priority 6 in the VA benefit program. I have received medicine from the VA for gout and prostate problems, and, also, for consulting with the VA doctor. There is a small but manageable copay for these services. I have been told there is no relationship or communication between the veterans services and healthcare elsewhere which means that for services not covered by the VA or Medicare a supplemental private policy must be purchased.

It's time for my husband to sign up for Medicare.
If he get's Part A&B, can he use VA for supplemental? Or does he keep VA entirely.
What if he get's medicare, can he use VA for
checks ups etc.?

Thank you
