Involving the benefit programs of the government, the most suitable one for the retired people is the medicare benefits. Nevertheless, the majority of us do not understand the fundamentals of the medicare program. How does the government set up it? Exactly how can we benefit from it?

I will be 65 on 1-16-2012, but i am still working. I plan to continue working for another
year. If I take my employer's insurance until I apply for social security, will there be a penalty to get a supplemental insurance after I retire?
Thank you

I will be 65 on August 5, 2011, but I am still working.I am planning continue working after 65.
Is obligatory to ask for Medicare two months before 65, or I can wait until I start receiving the Social Security benefits when I ask for them?
